Der russische Poet Wladimir Wladimirowitsch Majakowskij provozierte durch avantgardistische, politische und sozialkritische Themen, die er in seinen Werken mündlich und schriftlich präsentierte. Die Arbeit Di strada in strada (Von Straße zu Straße, 1913) veröffentlichte Arrigo Lora-Totino 1978 auf der Compilation futura. Poesia Sonora, einer der umfangreichsten Anthologien avantgardistischer und poetischer Klangkunst der 1970er Jahren. Lora-Totino, selbst Klangkünstler und Essayist, hatte dazu auf sieben Vinyl-Schalllplatten poetische und klangkünstlerische Werke aus Europa versammelt und herausgebracht. Die Zusammenstellung wurde 1993 auf fünf CDs bei Cramps Records wiederveröffentlicht.
