The compilation, which includes Sarki's piece Serenade Opus 2 Pour 12 Kornemuses, amamemoire est ma Patrie, was curated by Michel Nuridsany and published by the Paris-based Association Francaise D'action Artistique. The association was an initiative of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture for international cultural exchange. The compilation was created on the occasion of the 18th Sao Paulo Biennial, which took place between October 4 and December 15, 1985, and presents French artists represented there.

Sarki's piece is a recording of a performance in which not only the sound events can be heard, but also steps that make the path of the musician audible between the different soundgenerators, 12bagpipes. The second part of the piece's title, a ma memoire est ma Patrie (In my memory is my home), refers to the traditional use of the bagpipe in Turkey.
