The double CD "Ghérasim Luca par Ghérasim" Luca comprises 17 poems recited by the author himself. The recordings are an impressive example of the authentic, additional presence a text acquires through the author's voice. This is often of particular intensity in lyrical works - all the more so when, as in Luca's poems, they are texts in which the phonetic form of the words is essential. For example, his poems often play with the consonance, the homophony of different - in his case - French words.

The piece presented here, "Ma déraison d`être" (My Madness of Life), is characterized by a rhythm that becomes more dynamic, repeating words and similar lines. The insistent manner of performance allows the central motif of "désespoir" (despair) to be expressed more strongly. At the same time, the enigmatic image "le désespoir a [...] paires de jambes" (despair has [...] (a) pair of legs), formulated with progressively higher numbers, sounds intense.

The sound recordings of Ghérasim Luca's works prove: that "Author's voices" convey an often precious experience of literature and the people who create it.
