This single by French artist Christian Boltanski is part of an ongoing series of record releases that were titled Reconstitution De Chansons... . On them, Boltanski reproduces songs that were part of his early childhood. The title of the record points to the years 1944 to 1946, the period immediately after Boltanski's birth in 1944.

The release, to be found here, has a white cover with an original photograph of Boltanski pasted on it. The edition was limited, and each copy had a different image on the cover. The record was released by the label Le Kiosque d'Orphée, founded by Georges Batard, which functioned more as a record producer than a label and, among other things, offered avant-garde artists the opportunity to publish their sounds by paying the expenses for the production.
