Title: Birth (Track 02)
Publisher: Ralph Records, San Francisco
Date: 1979

The album Eskimo by the band The Residents consists of recordings of voices, noises and synthesizer sounds. According to a myth, the (supposed) fantasy figure N. Senada, a Bavarian poet and thinker, had a significant influence on the band. He was also involved in the creation of the album Eskimo by travelling to the polar region in an expedition. However, she is said not to have returned from this journey but to have lived with the Eskimos until he died in 1993. The album is considered a concept album and a dedicated effort for the Eskimos whose habitat is threatened.

According to the band, the recordings were made between 1976 and 1979. The cover contains inserts with information about Eskimos in addition to the white vinyl record.
