In 1977, the Canadian artist group Owen Sound, consisting of Michael Dean, David Penhale, Steven Ross Smith and Richard Truhlar, published the 30-page catalogue book Meaford Tank Range. The book included texts, visual poetry, work sketches, translations and correspondence. In addition, they added the vinyl single of the same name. On it, they perform two pieces consisting of correspondences between the four artists, both in English and in a fantasy language. Here you can hear the A-side Simultaneous Translation the transcription of the performance is in the book.

The record was recorded and produced at Sheridan College in Ontario by Fantasy Sound Limited.

The group named themselves after the town of Owen Sound near Toronto on Georgian Bay. Meaford Tank Range is a nearby stretch of land and nature reserve on the coast of Georgian Bay. A map of Meadfod Tank Range is visible on the cover of the catalogue book.
