Jackson Mac Low's album Concerts at the Kitchen 1980 was released in 1984 as the eleventh issue of the Radiotaxi record series and was an insert in Lotta Poetica #17 magazine.

The piece 1st Milarepa Gatha exemplifies Mac Low's way of working: the fragmentation of words, the repetition of syllables and sounds, the change in the speed of speech between the two extremes, the formation of sounds far removed from meaningful language and the combination with musical elements inspired by jazz result in a composition that explores the function and interplay, structure and improvisation of language, sound and music.
