Aguichements is the first piece on the album Musical Experiences, which Jean Dubuffet released in 1973. The piece was originally recorded in 1961 at the Galleria del Cavallino in Venice. The cover illustration is a lithograph by Dubuffet that he used for different record releases. He only changed the title.

Dubuffet originally released Aguichements in 1961 on his first album Expériences Musicales, comprising 20 pieces on six 10" records, issued in an edition of 50 and numbered and signed by him.

Dubuffet recorded the pieces for the album together with the avant-garde artist Asger Jorn. Without practising beforehand, they played the instruments with an unknown purpose. Shortly after the first experiments of this kind, Dubuffet began making recordings with two cassette recorders and editing them manually. He described their work as "certainly unexpected coincidences, (...) of improvisations on instruments that one does not know how to use. (..., The pieces) had no beginning and no end, but were simple cuttings taken haphazardly from an incessant stream".
