The Danish composer Henning Christiansen (1932 - 2008) studied composition, clarinet and piano at the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music in Copenhagen. After a career as a musician and composer, he joined Eks-Skole, an alternative art school in Copenhagen. He began to perform actions, performances and happenings on the American model and to approach the Fluxus movement. He met Joseph Beuys and regularly performed with him in Fluxus events, for example the action Manresa at the Galerie Schmela Düsseldorf in 1966 and the 10-hour concert Hauptstrom FLUXUS at the Galerie Franz Dahlem Darmstadt in 1967. Christiansen taught the subject multimedia at the HfbK in Hamburg and for the artist program of the DAAD.
