Paul de Vree worked as a representative of non-objective art, especially in lyric poetry and poetry, in later years exclusively in concrete and visual poetry and sound poetry. He had connections to the Düsseldorf artist group ZERO as well as to Constructivism and repeatedly emphasized references between literature and the visual arts. He rarely worked in painting and sculpture himself.

The album Toute prédication is the second LP release in the Radiotaxi - Vibrazioni Del Sonoro series and was initially released in 1979. At the same time, the record, whose first track is Gun Poem, was a supplement to the magazine Lotta Poetica No. 4, published in May 1982. Lotta Poetica was founded by de Vree together with the Italian artist Sarenco and published in Brescia from 1971 to 1975.
