The tracks on the album Nova Akropola, including Die Liebe, which can be heard here, are the result of unique sound collages and cannot easily be assigned to a specific genre but belong to the Post-industrial era. Laibach strongly contributed to the formation of the martial industrial style with their early works Laibach (1985), Rekapitulacija (1985) and Nova Akropola (1985). The industrial-like pieces are inspired, among other things, by the mining region around Trbovlje, the hometown of Laibach's founding members.

Eerie, deep sounds and discordant trumpets stage the song and form a supporting element. The aggressive, programmed drums, reminiscent of large industrial machines in sound and rhythm, drive the song, which is fast, in an album context, at almost 121 BPM. Die Liebe offers a broad spectrum of orchestral samples and synthesizers, some of which play mystical melodies. The influences of heavy metal and techno merge into a dark, threatening atmosphere. The brutal voice of singer Milan Fras stands in stark contrast to the content of the repetitive phrases "Die Liebe ist die größte Kraft, die alles schafft". Through the use of tape recorders, samples, especially created by Laibach, are played. Sometimes the vocal tracks overlap, and individual sounds are repeated in a loop.
